Job Overview:
  • Support and operate a 24/7 x 365 high-performance, highly available networking and virtualized compute infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and technical procedures that contribute to the maintenance of operational standards.
  • Develop scripts and automation for infrastructure services and system administration tasks where possible.
  • Hands-on support for developing a monitoring platform for both infrastructure and services to proactively address the operational issues for all customer facing assets.
  • Partner with engineering & operations teams to ensure smooth deployment of new designs, architectures. and customer facing services.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 8-10 years in data center and Cloud Operations (SaaS or PaaS) supporting networking and compute equipment for large complex global infrastructure spanning across multiple data centers.
  • Experienced with DevOps & ITIL approach in running a superior service operations & delivery function.
  • Expertise in one or more Infrastructure automation technology(automating hosts, network provisioning).
  • Experience with Infrastructure Capacity Planning.
  • Prior experience in monitoring, operating and troubleshooting a production network. Knowledge in TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, L3VPN, SSL, application load balancing and understanding of network cabling specifications.
  • Prior Experience developing and/or supporting core Infrastructure computing services (Domain Controller, DNS, Virtualization, VMware, Storage, Backup/Recovery, Data Security, Data Replication & monitoring.
  • Expert level Hypervisor Experience: VMware, KVM, Hyper-V.
  • Hands on Linux and Windows administration experience.
  • Experience with various DC monitoring tools such as Nagios and logging solutions.
  • Demonstrable time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
