Novus' client is looking for a strong Engineer to join their Application Processor Test (APT) group hich designs and develops test content, debugs and executes test automation to verify software developed to enable all Applications on ASIC products. You will interact in a team environment with other Test Engineers, Test automation developers and with ASIC embedded software developers. Job functions will be primarily focused toward test plan development for new features, Test Execution, Test wrapper scripting and deployment into the test management system. Successful candidate must have strong communication skills, be an effective team player and be able to work independently. Job also requires effective project management and flexibility to ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner.

  • Experience with testing against standards documents and/or experience with testing applications is required.
  • Experience with automation scripting/programing with PERL/Python/etc. is required.
  • Experience with using C, PERL or related course work preferred.
  • Experience working with mobile applications and using various tools including Network simulators for validation.
  • Experience with testing and/or software development on Smartphone: Windows and/or Android applications knowledge is preferred.
  • Software/System Test experience (a strong understanding of test methodology), understanding of the software development cycle, and experience with using wireless test equipment or mobile test systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the protocol stack (PPP, IP, TCP) is a required.
  • Computer Architecture/ Linux OS fundamentals/ device drivers knowledge is a plus.
  • Certification/ interoperability (IOT) test experience with carriers, OEMs, vendors and test forums a big plus.
  • Advanced Perl development and/or strong C/C++ is a big plus.
