NOVUS' client is focused on inventing technologies that connect and empower people in ways that are elegant and accessible to all. The PLC/WLAN HW Engineer performs design and development of wired and wireless LAN connectivity solutions, support platforms and systems. Responsibilities include:

1. Provide sustaining support of client's PLC and WLAN reference designs, HW design tools and documentation.
2. Design and implement board-level reference design products, IC verification platforms and test systems.
3. Design analog and digital circuits and subsystems including amplifiers, filters, power supplies, etc.
4. Perform board bring-up, troubleshooting and RF performance tuning activities.
5. Perform design verification testing (DVT) of client's PLC and WLAN reference designs.
6. Perform product documentation and product release activities.

1. Minimum of 7 years (with BS) or 3 years (with MS) PLC and/or WLAN hardware design experience.
2. Analog, digital, mixed signal and RF design experience desired.
3. Knowledge of Power Line Communication (PLC) standards and/or WLAN (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ad) standards and design concepts is required.
4. Experience with bring-up and bench characterization of mixed signal SoC.
5. Familiar with common HW engineering design tools: Schematic Capture (OrCAD, HDL), SPICE, PCB Layout (Cadence Allegro), Signal Integrity (Allegro PCB SI or similar)
6. Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
7. Possess good analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

1. Familiarity with Bluetooth, NFC, WiPower and FM technologies.
2. Experience with digital interfaces including PCIe / USB / UART / I2C / SDIO / MIPI / etc.
3. Experience with UL and CE safety and/or FCC and CE emissions requirements, design techniques and compliance test methodologies a plus.
4. Familiarity with design of AC off-line switching power supplies desirable.

Preferred: Master's, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
